The Story

In May of 2006 we visited Amsterdam for a week of adventure and fun. Jessica had never been outside the US, so it was quite a step for her to take. Not to mention the step Jonathan was about to take ...

On Thursday the 25th we took a day trip to Leiden. We didn't have much of a plan, but a very helpful local woman suggested we see the "Burcht", a small centuries old fort on a hill in the center of the city. Just as the sun was setting Jonathan proposed to an unsuspecting Jessica.

Not long after she said yes, Jessica was making excited phone calls to her relatives, while Jonathan was contemplating the wisdom of his actions over a few pints of Guinness.
